National Bank of Commerce’s Mortgage calculator might change your life.

If you’ve been dreaming of your first condo, a little place to start your family, a larger home to move your growing family into, something to downsize to with room for the grandkids or maybe even a weekend getaway in the woods, this is a great place to start.

Our mortgage calculator will compute your potential mortgage's monthly payment amount to help you determine what you can afford.

How to use

Get started by plugging in the amount of the home you have your eye on or the ballpark price you’ve been considering, minus any savings or capital from the sale of a home you own now. Add the length of the mortgage – often 15 or 30 years – and the annual interest rate.

If you know the real estate taxes, homeowner’s insurance or monthly PMI you can get an even more accurate reading. If not, it’s ok to estimate or leave them blank knowing that in the future you will have real numbers for these fields.

Once you have computed the monthly payment, click on the "Create P&L Amortization Schedule" button to create a printable report breaking down every payment over the life of your mortgage into the principal, interest and balance.
